water color painting of the lake-side

This one’s very unlike my usual brush strokes.. but somehow I couldnt go with the bold streaks this time.. stayed on the shallow side of the water colors.. as mild as it could get.. perhaps the view of the calm lake from my window got me this effect!

Or was it the lack of cribbing @work!?!

What do u guys say!?!

I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things… I play with leaves. I skip down the street and run against the wind… doodling is like breathing :)

so tell me, what are those ‘little things’ which arent really ‘little’ and stir the enthu in you!?! leaves

one of my ‘alleged’ fan demanded (read – threatened, tortured, got on my nerves) that i should draw his cartoon – here it is! Go Nutts!

p.s: yeah – hez quite ‘ok’ in cricket – ‘allegedly‘ never gets hit-wicket (unlike me) and ‘allegedly’ can take as many wickets in a match as the number of players batting from the other team in 2 overs straight! ‘ALLEGDLY‘!

pencil sketch of baby and mother

From my old sketch book.. albeit i loved sketching this little baby i just could not draw the mother’s mouth at that time.. i left it as that. And like always, never completed it – somehow i dont like to complete my sketches or alter them in any way once i sign them off. i feel am tampering with them!!!

Ishaanu lost his favorite shoe – what can be worse – he also had a dream about it this morning – thus, when he woke up, he started to cry since he was missing his shoe!!!

(my shoes literally got jealous that i’ve never shown my love for them like this! Expectations, i tell u! *Phew!)

old woman

I did this pencil sketch of an old woman in the last year of my grad. I almost lost this sketch – dad found, scanned and surprised me with it! :)

ear-to-ear smile

purple woman

i kept smiling to myself when i was sketching her – her smile is so adorable! and so cute!! and so contagious!!! I wish i look like this when i am in the “ol’ granny” days of my life!

U know, the fun of sketching with a color pencil or pastel color is that you simply cannot rub the wrong lines.. you made a mistake – you just cannot erase.. i love when i dont have to depend upon my eraser for my sketches to smile at me! : )

p.s: this page was way too big for it to get scanned – so the whole of the portrait got cropped a little from all the four sides

red smirk?!?

I thought of trying that ‘pastel work’ guy with a red pencil..
lately i’ve gone crazy with pastels and pencil colors.. i keep doodling with them.. while commuting via buses, standing in the train (while trying to ignore that shorty woman’s ramblings on how my sketchbook is hovering over her face and how am MISUSING MY HEIGHT FACTOR(!?!?!?) ..

This one i did only last night – so tell me, which one do you think is better!?! :)

smirking chap

rajasthani turban

It didnt come out exactly the way i wanted – and seems quite a kiddo drawing too – but nevertheless, am fond of it! :)

I love his turban – i think the Rajasthani turbans ROCK! they look so cool – am telling you, am going to make my guy wear a turban like this during one of our family photographs… What do you think, fellas ?!? :)
